Sadly, one of us….

Sadly, one of us...

….could benefit from the money Stitches by Mrs. Funk is raising through mask sales. Stacy McCauley’s (one of our new hygienists) sister-in-law found out in late July that she has stage 4 pancreatic cancer. To help offset some of her extensive hospital bills, Stacy has started Sylvia’s Squad as a way to both emotionally and financially support Sylvia through her battle with cancer.

If you would like to send a note of encouragement to Sylvia, please mail to her attention at:

Jessica L Bishop, DDS 6015 Farrington Rd Ste 102 Chapel Hill, NC 27517

Thank you for your amazing support with your many mask purchases! I am overwhelmed with gratitude to have had this opportunity to do something I love and help so many different individuals and organizations. I am also thankful for the suggestions of different charities! After Sylvia’s Squad, I have the next three charities identified.

Here is a list of who we have helped:

$5500 to SECU Family House of Chapel Hill
$5000 to Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill
$2000 to Super Cooper’s Wagon
$1000 to Me Fine
$1000 to OCRA Meals on Wheels
$1000 to MiracleFeet of NC
$1200 to Children’s Home Society of NC
$1000 to Dina’s Dynasty
$1500 to Swim for Charlie
$2000 to BestFriends.org
$2000 to Wallace Beeson Foundation
$2000 to Durham Nativity School
$2000 to Hospitality House of Watauga County
$2000 to Open Table Ministries of Durham
$2000 to Families Moving Forward
$2000 to Orange Literacy Council
$2000 to Lineberger Cancer Center
$3000 to Watauga Humane Society

A total of $38,200…all since April. Not quite the goal of $50k but maybe by spring.

My staff and I are grateful for your trust, faith, and support during this past year. We are looking forward to being here to greet you at your next visit!

With joy in my heart,

Jessica
